Royal Delight: Princess Kate Reveals Endearing Nickname for Prince Louis
Princess Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, recently unveiled an adorable nickname for her youngest son, Prince Louis, who is set to celebrate his sixth birthday this spring.
The endearing nickname, “Lewbug,” was playfully used by Princess Kate during a royal engagement where the Wales family showcased their love for the outdoors.
Maintaining a veil of privacy around their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge typically keep details about their offspring limited to the public.
However, on rare occasions, glimpses into their family life are shared by the devoted parents.
On the final day of the country's celebrations for King Charles I's coronation, Princess Kate affectionately referred to Prince Louis as “Lewbug” not once, but twice.
During a special outing, she praised her five-year-old son, saying, “Well done!
Lewbug, great job!”
Later in the day, as the royal children and volunteers gathered around a fire to toast marshmallows, Princess Kate lovingly called him “Lewbug” again, saying, “Pop that in the fire, Lewbug.”
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, also joined in on the fun, joking with scouts about his son's love for sweets, exclaiming, “You've made his day!”
The Wales family, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, left Adelaide Cottage to participate in the Big Help Out event in Slough, supported by Queen Camilla, promoting volunteerism and community involvement.
Engaging in hands-on activities at the 3rd Upton Scouts' hut, the royal family worked alongside volunteers, getting their hands dirty by shoveling soil, varnishing doors, and planting flowers at the hut's entrance.
Prince Louis and Prince George even had the opportunity to operate a digger, showcasing their enthusiasm for the tasks at hand.
For Prince Louis, this event marked his first official royal engagement where he could actively participate.
Prior to this, he had attended events such as the Platinum Jubilee Pageant and the Coronation Ceremony at Westminster Abbey in honor of the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
Since the Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, where Prince Louis was last seen with the royal family, the young prince, who attends Lambrook School with his siblings, has been out of the public eye.
