Princess Charlotte Requests Playdate with 8-Year-Old Charlotte Rose Hickson, Queen Camilla Supports the Idea

Princess Charlotte, the 7-year-old granddaughter of King Charles, may have found a potential new friend in 8-year-old Charlotte Rose Hickson, thanks to the support of Queen Camilla.

During her visit to the Storm Family Centre in Battersea, London, on Thursday, the 75-year-old Queen Consort brought up the subject of a playdate between the two young girls.

The event was held to commemorate the charity's 19th anniversary, which provides support services to community members of all ages and assists victims of domestic violence.

According to The Independent in Pennsylvania, Princess Charlotte received a message from Charlotte Rose Hickson, whose mother is a volunteer at Storm.

The young girl attended the ceremony as a guest with her father, Wayne Hickson.

In the note, Charlotte Rose expressed her desire to have a playdate with Princess Charlotte and included details such as her primary school, address, and phone number.

She remained hopeful that the princess would agree to the invitation and eagerly awaited her response.

Wayne Hickson shared that his daughter came up with the idea for the invitation a few weeks ago and mustered up the courage to deliver the letter to Queen Camilla.

To their delight, the Queen Consort graciously accepted the note and assured Charlotte Rose that she would pass it along to Princess Charlotte.

Camilla even complimented the young girl's dress and signed a canvas with the initials CR, which stood for Camilla Regina, meaning Queen in Latin, according to Hello magazine.

During her visit, Queen Camilla also met with Storm founder Marie Hansen, spent time with survivors, and learned more about the center's programs, including candle-making and computer training.

The monarch expressed her admiration for the Storm team and its objectives, acknowledging the significant impact they have made in supporting victims of domestic violence.

The charity, founded by Hansen in 2004 after escaping an abusive home, has assisted over 3,000 women and 1,000 young people to date, as stated on the palace website.

In a public address shared by PA, Queen Camilla expressed her sincere gratitude for the efforts made to combat domestic violence and abuse against women.

She commended the Storm Family Centre for its vibrant activities that benefit the community, emphasizing the importance of their mission.

The Queen Consort felt incredibly fortunate and honored to have had the opportunity to visit the center and acknowledged the contributions of all those involved in Marie's mission.

Supporting individuals who have experienced domestic abuse and violence has always been a top priority for Queen Camilla in her public service role.

In a notable solo outing as queen consort, she visited a hospital unit for victims of domestic abuse during the fall season.
