However, according to insights from a seasoned commentator, Royal experts predict that the couple will make a significant reappearance in 2024, despite their growing detachment from their regal roots.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have now spent five consecutive Christmases away from the Royal Family, highlighting the increasing distance between them.

Although they expressed a desire to join the Royals for Christmas, Harry and Meghan reportedly declined an invitation to spend the festive season at the Sandringham Estate last year.

This refusal, along with a series of public clashes, including Harry's memoir “Spare,” Meghan and Harry's Netflix docuseries, and their headline-grabbing interview with in 2021, has fueled tensions between the Sussexes and the Royal Family.

Renowned royal author Ingrid Seward believes that the ongoing feud will persist into 2024.

Speaking to GB News, Seward stated that Meghan and Harry need the King's blessing more than the King needs them, sadly.

Therefore, she predicts that we will be seeing them again soon.

Seward also highlighted the legal battles Harry is currently facing and how his insistence on adequate protection is a major factor influencing his return to the UK.

Furthermore, Seward emphasized the King's desire to reconnect with his son and two youngest grandchildren, Prince , four years old, and Princess , two years old.

The geographical distance has limited the King's interactions with his grandchildren.

Despite previous invitations, the couple turned down a summer visit to Balmoral last year.

In early 2020, and announced their decision to step down as senior working royals, citing a desire for financial independence.

Since then, they have made the United States their home, residing in a luxurious nine-bedroom mansion in Montecito.

Although their relationship with the Royal Family has been strained, the couple has made occasional visits to the UK.

Harry attended the King's coronation in May 2023, while Meghan stayed in the US with their children.
