Queen Camilla’s Favorite Food Revealed: A Royal Feast for Her Grandkids

Queen Camilla, known for her refined taste in cuisine, has recently shared some intriguing insights into her personal culinary preferences.

While she has dined at some of the world's most prestigious restaurants, the Queen also possesses a keen understanding of running a kitchen.

In 2013, during a visit to Godolphin Primary School in Slough, she launched British Food Fortnight's Bringing the Harvest Home program.

During the visit, two young students, Annika Mataru (8) and Iman Ganimasa (11), had the opportunity to ask the Queen about her own food habits.

They inquired whether the Royal Family grows their own food and what vegetables the Queen favors.

With a wise smile, Queen Camilla confirmed that they indeed cultivate their own vegetables, adding, “I think my favorite is beans.

But I'll tell you what I really like – I love peas straight from the garden.”

Sharing her advice for vegetable enthusiasts, Queen Camilla emphasized the exquisite taste of freshly picked peas.

She recounted a delightful memory, saying, “I took all my grandchildren out to the garden, and they spent hours eating peas.

They ate and ate until they got sick.”

It seems that the Queen's grandkids have quite the appetite for these green gems.

In a 2010 interview with You Magazine, Queen Camilla revealed that gardening holds a significant place in her life.

Even when she is at home, she still enjoys cooking for herself.

Her meals often consist of simple yet flavorful dishes, such as fillet of fish with butter and herbs.

Additionally, she incorporates an array of homegrown vegetables into her meals, including kale, purple sprouting broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and, of course, plenty of peas and beans, which freeze well.

The Queen expressed her fondness for vegetable gardens, particularly during the summer season.

As a proud gardener, she mentioned her special affection for white peaches, which she and her husband competitively grow.
