It appears that their neighbors have reached their limit with the couple, prompting them to consider a more modestly priced £3m dwelling in Malibu.

Last September, the Sussexes decided against purchasing land in order to build a massive 10,000 square foot home.

However, it seems that their current residence, which boasts nine bedrooms and was prominently featured on Netflix's tell-all series about the couple, is rarely occupied by the family of four, including their children Archie and Lilibet.

Barry Mayer, a local resident and PR expert who frequently appears on top TV programs, expressed growing frustration among residents due to Meghan and Harry's jet-setting lifestyle.

Although Harry and Meghan live nearby, their location is considerably more expensive.

Barry emphasized that while nobody in the area is living in cardboard boxes, the lack of sightings of the couple has led to a general feeling of indifference among locals.

Those who admire the couple appear to have boundless tolerance for them, regardless of their actions, often tied to the romantic notion of a handsome prince falling for a commoner.

On the other hand, many others are either unimpressed by the couple's constant travels or simply tired of hearing about them.

Last October, rumors circulated that Prince Harry was attempting to disrupt their planned move to Malibu because he preferred living in New York City.

The Sussexes have been frequently spotted in the Big Apple, with Harry seemingly captivated by its fast pace, culture, and social scene.

A close friend of Harry's revealed his fondness for New York, citing the convenience of an 8-hour flight compared to nearly 11 hours from Malibu.

Initially, Harry had been enthusiastic about the move to Malibu, as it was Meghan's idea, but now his desire for a change seems puzzling and illogical.

In contrast, Meghan is keen to remain close to Los Angeles, where her career opportunities lie.

A source disclosed that Meghan values face-to-face interactions in order to establish meaningful relationships, which would be easier to achieve if they were closer to Hollywood.

The insider mentioned in October that perhaps once they have achieved success in Hollywood, they can consider purchasing a place in New York.

Previously, the Express reported that Meghan's lifestyle had angered the locals, with one of their Montecito neighbors describing her as arrogant and expressing eagerness for her departure.

The Sussexes' reputation among the community is far from favorable, with Meghan's attitude being a particular bone of contention.

According to a recent survey, Meghan received disapproval from 33% of respondents, while 31% approved, resulting in an overall net approval rating of minus two.

This represents an eight-point decline from the outlet's previous poll conducted in June.

On the other hand, Harry, according to a Newsweek survey, was liked by 39% of respondents and disliked by 27%, giving him a net approval rating of 12.

This also marks a decrease from the previous poll, where he had a plus 18 rating.
