Meghan Markle’s Ambitious Request to Inherit Althorp House Denied by Prince Charles

Reports have emerged suggesting that Meghan Markle reached out to Princess Diana's brother, Earl Spencer, with a request to discuss the possibility of gifting Althorp House to her and Prince Harry upon his demise.

This development comes after the couple's official move from Frogmore Cottage in the UK, which was prompted by a request from King Charles.

Althorp House, the family residence of Lady Diana Spencer, also known as Diana, Princess of Wales, is open to the public during the summer season, allowing visitors to marvel at its exquisite interiors adorned with a notable collection of furniture, paintings, and ceramics.

Upon learning of Earl Spencer's announcement regarding the estate's availability, Meghan Markle expressed keen interest in engaging in a discreet meeting with him.

The purpose of this gathering was to explore the possibility of acquiring the property for the Sussexes.

Unfortunately, Prince Charles rejected her ambitious request, leaving Meghan feeling disheartened.

In addition to this, rumors have circulated claiming that Meghan is now banned from the Althorp Estate.

Allegedly, Meghan squatted down near the column marking the grave, causing controversy.

According to Tom Bower's book, “Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors,” Earl Charles Spencer, Lady Sarah McCorkadale, Baroness Jane Fellows, and Julia Samuel failed to see the similarities between Meghan and Harry's late mother, which the Prince had hoped they would acknowledge.

Moreover, they doubted Meghan's ability to assimilate into the royal family.

Bower reveals that at one point, Spencer was even asked to discuss Harry's relationship with Meghan, indicating growing concerns within the royal circle.

As suspicions surrounding Meghan intensified, particularly after a Vanity Fair article that shed light on her divorce and strained relationships with neighbors in Kensington Palace, Harry introduced her to Diana's sisters, Jane and Sarah, and her close friend Julia Samuel.

Harry believed that these connections would highlight the parallels between Meghan and his vulnerable mother.

However, disappointment followed as no one shared his perspective.

Furthermore, they believed Meghan would struggle to fit into the royal family.

Bower recounts an incident where Spencer, at Prince William's request, approached Harry to offer some cautionary advice.
