Meghan and Harry’s Awkward Encounter with US Customs and Border Patrol Agents at Atlanta Airport

and recently found themselves in a perplexing situation as they were subjected to a thorough search by US Customs and Border Patrol agents at Atlanta Airport.

The couple had just arrived on a private flight from their weekend getaway on the picturesque island of Canoeon in the Grenadines.

As they disembarked the plane, Meghan, sporting dark sunglasses and a messy bun, carried a souvenir tote with the words “Cream of the Islands” while clutching a sun hat.

Harry, dressed casually in a white polo shirt and olive pants, completed his post-holiday look with a black cap and carried a weekender bag.

Exclusive photos obtained by DailyMail.com captured the moment the royal couple stepped onto the tarmac and were promptly checked by airport staff and US Customs and Border Patrol agents.

Initially, it was reported that the couple had been searched by enforcement officers, as evidenced by the images taken by BackGrid.

However, Meghan's agency later clarified that the agents had actually welcomed and escorted the Sussexes from the tarmac.

According to an insider, Meghan and Harry were subjected to tests for banned substances due to their private jet travel.

It seems that they had to demonstrate that their bags were free of any mind-altering substances.

Meghan appeared visibly uncomfortable during the search, even pointing towards another area of the airport, seemingly impatient and wanting to be taken in that direction.

Body language experts noted that Meghan's gesture of pointing with a closed hand and one or two fingers is often associated with dominance.

It suggested that she wanted people to cater to her demands and assert her authority.

While the couple may be attracted to the privileges of royal life, their desire for special VIP treatment seemed to clash with the cavity searches conducted by US Customs.

Critics argue that the couple's reliance on BackGrid, a photo agency, to capture their moments in the public eye raises questions about their true intentions.

It is no secret that Meghan and Harry value their privacy, yet they consistently hire paparazzi photographers to ensure their images reach the desired outlets.

This strategic move allows them to control their public image while enjoying the perks of fame.

Interestingly, Meghan has a longstanding association with Soho House properties, thanks to her close friendship with Marcus Anderson, the Chief Membership Officer of the Lifestyle Club Chain.

Anderson had previously arranged a private room at Soho House in London for Meghan and Harry's first date.

Additionally, Meghan hosted a low-key hen night at Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton, UK, before their 2018 wedding.

Continuing this trend, Marcus ensured that Meghan had a room at the Soho Beach House in Canoeon during her recent visit.

Canoeon has become a favorite destination for many of Meghan and Harry's acquaintances, including renowned names like George Clooney and his wife Amal.

The island's charms have also attracted celebrities like Robert Downey Jr. and Leonardo DiCaprio, who have been known to vacation there.

While the world faces numerous challenges, Meghan seems determined to make her vacation escapades known.

Despite the global turmoil, she wants everyone to be aware of her leisurely trips.

Whether it's through carefully orchestrated photo opportunities or exclusive access to luxurious accommodations, Meghan continues to find ways to control her narrative in the public eye.
