Kevin Costner Rejects Meghan’s Plea to Appear on CBS’ Catwalk 2024 Golden Globe Red Carpet
The 2024 Golden Globe Awards is set to be a star-studded event with an impressive lineup of presenters.
According to exclusive sources, Jodie Foster, Kate Beckinsale, Kevin Costner, Naomi Watts, Orlando Bloom, and Elizabeth Banks will grace the occasion, presenting awards during the live broadcast on CBS this Sunday night.
Joining them as presenters are Don Cheadle, Gabriel Fluffy Iglesias, Hunter Schaefer, Jonathan Bailey, Mark Hamill, Ray Romano, Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Kerry Russell, and Annette Bening.
An exciting night lies ahead for Bening, who has been nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture Drama category for her work in NYAD.
Her co-star, Jodie Foster, has also received a nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture category.
Despite reports that Meghan Markle was not invited to the event, she has not given up hope.
She made a plea to Kevin Costner, hoping he would include her in the event, but unfortunately, her request was ignored.
Markle provided a few reasons why she believes she should be present on the CBS show.
Firstly, she mentioned the possibility of a Suits reunion with actors Patrick J Adams and Gabriel Macht, who are already confirmed as presenters.
Adding Markle to the mix would be the icing on the cake.
Secondly, Oprah Winfrey's attendance raises eyebrows, as Markle and Prince Harry had their famous interview with her on CBS.
Perhaps there is a connection between Winfrey's presence and Markle's desire to attend.
Thirdly, Markle believes that a Suits reunion would significantly boost the show's ratings, considering its already thriving popularity.
It is possible that the show's creators might consider Markle's involvement for added appeal.
Additionally, Markle hopes to secure an in-kind donation from one of the entities involved, such as the Globes, 501c3, CBS, or Netflix, to support her and Prince Harry's Archwell Foundation.
This potential donation could serve as a motivating factor.
Furthermore, Markle and the Globes share a publicist, Kelly Morgan of Sunshine Sachs.
The firm recently returned to the Globes, and Morgan used to be Markle's publicist a couple of years ago.
This connection may play a role in Markle's desire to be present at the event.
However, Markle's intentions go beyond simply presenting an award.
She yearns to be recognized and acknowledged for her perceived fabulousness and greatness.
If given the opportunity to present an award, she would undoubtedly divert the attention to herself and cling onto the winner, grinning alongside them.
It is clear that Markle would not be content with sitting quietly in the audience; she wants to be on stage, distributing awards.
During her time on stage, Markle would likely discuss mundane activities like doing school runs and preparing lunches without any prior arrangements.
She would even propose the addition of a new category for the best award distributor, solely to have a chance at receiving one of the awards.
Unfortunately for Markle, some Hollywood A-listers are quick to distance themselves from acquaintances or potential friends like her when their popularity, brand, representation, or image begins to suffer.
They do not want to be associated with her toxic behavior.
