Prince Harry Faces Decision to Reconnect with Royal Family
In a surprising turn of events, Prince Harry is expected to distance himself from Meghan Markle and reconsider his plans in the United States.
The Duke of Sussex has recently been rekindling his relationship with members of the royal family and is predicted to decline Meghan's US plans in order to support his father, King Charles, in the affairs of the monarchy.
Stephen Dixon, a presenter on GB News, believes that Harry will finally put an end to the ongoing controversy surrounding Meghan Markle and stop digging a hole for himself.
Dixon remarks, “We've all done it, we have arguments and rows.
You dig a hole and you don't always stop digging.
And perhaps this has forced him to stop digging.”
Fellow news anchor Anne Diamond expresses her hope that Harry will make this decision, stating, “Oh, I do hope so.”
Dixon continues, suggesting that Harry's recent time spent with the family may have influenced his perspective.
He speculates that Harry might say to Meghan, “No, we're going to be over here.
We're going to try to make this work.”
Dixon adds, “Wouldn't that be interesting?
Wouldn't that be nice?”
Diamond advises Harry to let go of his book project, urging him to “ditch the book.”
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been offered a compromised position within the royal family, which neither of them will be satisfied with.
According to a royal expert, the couple has faced a major setback as they were excluded from a state reception at Buckingham Palace.
Initially invited, it was later revealed that the invitation had been sent in error, with only working members of the royal family eligible to attend.
When Harry and Meghan stepped back from their senior royal duties in 2020, they expressed their intention to maintain some involvement with the royal family while pursuing financial independence.
However, this recent incident highlights their diminishing role within the monarchy.
Camilla Tomini, associate editor at The Telegraph, remarks, “They may have discretion when it comes to family occasions, but where major events involving world leaders are concerned, they are well and truly out.”
The exclusion from the guest list for a significant palace event hosted by Harry's father and stepmother reinforces the reality that Harry and Meghan remain on the outskirts of the royal circle.
The sudden uninvitation also suggests a breakdown in communication between the couple and the palace.
This development sends a clear message to the Sussexes, as noted by a foreign policy analyst and former aide to Margaret Thatcher, who tweeted, “Harry and Meghan are realizing the monarchy still calls the shots.”
A source close to the Sussexes defends their actions, stating that they have done everything possible to support the royal family following the Queen's passing.
They have attended events, smiled, and shaken hands as requested.
Similarly, Prince Andrew, also a non-working royal, will not be attending the palace event.
Like his uncle, Harry has been seen in civilian dress for most official engagements since relinquishing his working royal status and moving to the US.
However, there is a glimmer of hope for Harry.
He has been granted special permission by the King to wear military uniform during a vigil at his grandmother's coffin.
As preparations for the state funeral, scheduled for September 19, are underway, the decision Harry makes regarding his future involvement with the royal family remains uncertain.
