Meghan Markle Under Fire for Skipping King’s Coronation as Archie Celebrates Birthday
The much-anticipated coronation of King Charles was marked by a surprising absence – Meghan Markle.
The Duchess of Sussex faced criticism for using her son Archie's birthday as a convenient excuse to skip the royal event held on May 6th.
Speculation had been mounting about whether Meghan and Prince Harry would attend, but ultimately, it was Prince Harry who decided to join around 2,000 other guests at Westminster Abbey.

Adding to the controversy, sources revealed that Archie's birthday party was deserted as all the famous neighbors and their children chose to attend the coronation instead.
This snub left Katie's daughter, Archie's classmate, and the entire neighborhood without an invitation to celebrate Meghan's son's special day.
Meanwhile, the coronation concert at Windsor Castle featured renowned US singer Katy Perry, who resides in the same Montecito estate as Harry and Meghan.
Perry's performance was accompanied by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who dueted with Welsh opera star Sir Bryn Terfel.
The concert, scheduled for May 6th, was broadcast live by the BBC, with Orlando Bloom and his children also present to support Katy Perry, who happens to have a child attending the same private school as Meghan's.
Unfortunately, another close friend of Meghan's, Serena Williams, expressed regret that her work schedule prevented her and her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian from attending Archie's birthday.
Williams, a successful tennis player, will be participating in the Mutua Madrid Open from April 24th to May 7th, 2023.
In the midst of these events, it was revealed that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were not invited to the royal family event at King Charles' coronation.
