Meghan and Harry Face Security Concerns on UK Trip as Demands Rejected

The Duke of Sussex recently filed a second lawsuit against the UK Home Office and the Metropolitan Police after his request for security was denied by the government.

Harry had previously expressed concerns about visiting the UK without police protection for himself, Meghan, and their children and .

Richard H, a Royal Security Expert, shared his thoughts on the potential outcome of the case in an interview with Us Weekly.

He expressed his hope that Harry would receive some form of police oversight, considering the potential dangers they could face if left unprotected.

He emphasized that the repercussions of not providing security could be dire, resulting in potential attacks on the couple.

In 2020, lost his taxpayer-funded security when he stepped down as a working royal and moved to the United States with Meghan.

To regain his right to police protection, he filed a second lawsuit at the High Court against the Home Office and the Metropolitan Police.

The Duke argued that his US security team lacked jurisdiction in Britain and proposed paying for Specialist Scotland Yard officers out of his own pocket, with access to national intelligence.

The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (REVEC) ruled last June that Prince Harry, now a private citizen, was not entitled to the same level of security as before.

However, Mr. Justice Swift acknowledged that it was debatable whether Harry should have been given the opportunity to make direct representations to REVEC.

The new lawsuit coincides with the Sussexes' upcoming visit to Britain in early September.

They plan to visit several charities close to their hearts, including the One Young World 2022 Manchester Summit and the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 one year to go event in Germany.

They will also attend the WellChild Awards 2022 before returning to the UK.

This trip will be their first since the Queen's Platinum celebrations in June, where the monarch met their daughter for the first time.

However, their visit may clash with the Queen's meeting with the newly elected Prime Minister on September 6.

Despite potential challenges, Prince Harry and are determined to follow their own path, even if it upsets the royals.

Insider reports that the couple plans to renew their wedding vows, despite criticism from the UK.

A source close to the couple revealed that the vow renewal is definitely happening and that they are not concerned about any negative opinions.

Additionally, Meghan is allegedly planning a second honeymoon with Harry in the US before the end of summer.

They are currently exploring various venues and considering the type of ceremony they want, as well as the number of guests to invite.

The couple envisions turning it into a big family vacation that will also serve as a second honeymoon.
