Princess Kate and Prince William’s Down-to-Earth Travel to Balmoral Castle
The royal couple, Princess Kate and Prince William, have been spotted on the Balmoral estate last weekend.
As reported by Express Co. UK, let's take a closer look at how they travel to the Scottish Highlands each year.
Currently enjoying the last few days of their summer holidays in Balmoral, the royal family, including Kate and William, both 41, have made it a tradition to visit this opulent Highland residence.
Last year, they surprised fellow passengers by taking an economy flight to reach the royal property, causing quite a stir among those who witnessed the future King and Queen of the United Kingdom traveling alongside them.
This custom of spending the final weeks of the summer break at Balmoral dates back to when Queen Victoria acquired the estate.
Last year, a TikTok user captured the moment when Princess Kate descended from her flight with two of her three children, 8-year-old Princess Charlotte and 4-year-old Prince Louis.
However, the Prince of Wales and their eldest child, 10-year-old Prince George, traveled separately.
This adherence to royal tradition ensures that two heirs to the British throne never travel together.
Interestingly, William seems to have disregarded this rule on multiple occasions since Prince George's birth.
According to a passenger on the same flight last year, Kate demonstrated what any normal mother would do during a journey with her children.
Halfway through the flight, she got up to retrieve her daughter's iPad.
The TikToker also mentioned how stunning Kate looked, as she even smiled and interacted with her son while turning back to the row behind her.
Kate's choice of attire for the flight was casual yet stylish, consisting of a sage green midi skirt paired with a khaki blazer.
Princess Charlotte, on the other hand, wore an elegant long-sleeved floral dress, complemented by neatly plaited honey-colored hair.
Prince Louis sported a blue shirt and navy-fitted shorts.
It is worth noting that many royals prefer to travel with monogrammed bags, and this trend continues when it comes to royal air travel.
Princess Charlotte was seen carrying a monogrammed bag, similar to her father's, who was photographed back in 2011 traveling to Australia with luggage adorned with the letter W and a crown.
