Meghan Markle Accused of Flirting with Rory McIlroy, Prompting Divorce Rumors

Meghan Markle, a well-known figure on social media, finds herself embroiled in yet another shocking rumor.

This time, it involves her alleged inappropriate behavior with golf star Rory McIlroy.

According to a new book titled “Revenge Meghan Harry and the War between the Windsors” by Tom Bauer, Meghan's flirtatious behavior towards McIlroy led to her boyfriend suspecting infidelity with the champion golfer.

Their paths crossed in August 2014 when McIlroy nominated Markle for the ice bucket challenge.

Markle insisted that he personally come to her friend's apartment in New York City to pour the ice over her.

This encounter took place just weeks after McIlroy's victory at the Open Championship in Britain.

Bauer reveals that McIlroy, who had recently ended his engagement with tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, was reportedly pursuing brunettes at the time.

Markle, known for her role in the TV series “Suits,” accepted the challenge on the condition that McIlroy join her at her friend's apartment.

After the video was posted, the two went to the Fitzpatrick Hotel for a drink and later enjoyed dinner at Cipriani with a group of 20 friends.

The following morning, McIlroy's golf game suffered as a result of their night out.

He arrived at the Ringwood golf course for a competition feeling worse for wear and ultimately fell back to 101st place.

McIlroy admitted, “I wasn't quite on my game…

I was enjoying myself.”

While McIlroy is now happily married to Erica Stoll, with whom he shares a daughter named Poppy, rumors persist about his past relationship with Meghan Markle.

The pair allegedly went on a few dates after McIlroy ended his engagement to Wozniacki in 2014.

Instagram posts from that time show a close bond between McIlroy and Markle during the ALS ice bucket challenge, with Markle even tagging McIlroy and captioning her video with a flirty smiley face.

Neither McIlroy nor Markle have confirmed these dating rumors, but Emily Herbert's novel “Harry and Meghan: The Love Story” includes McIlroy as one of Markle's pre-royal relationships.

The book provides further insight into their alleged connection.
