Prince Harry Faces Backlash Over Controversial Interviews

Prince Harry has been met with a wave of criticism following a series of controversial interviews with American media.

After his bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview alongside Meghan Markle, Harry's support among both American and British people has plummeted.

Additionally, 39% disapproved of Prince Harry speaking publicly about his royal upbringing, compared to 36% who approved.

Furthermore, Harry's comments on the First Amendment during a podcast with Dax Shepard sparked significant backlash in the United States.

Sean Hannity, anchor of the third largest evening news show in the U.S., launched into a tirade, referring to Harry as a “right royal pain in the a**.”

Amber Athey, Washington editor of the Spectator US, urged the UK to take Harry back, stating, “The UK is one of the top ten exporters to the U.S. As an American, in the words of former President Donald Trump, you all are not sending your best.

I would beg you, please take Prince Harry back.”

Even before these recent interviews, negative opinions of Harry and Meghan's decision to leave the royal family were prevalent.

A survey conducted after the Oprah Winfrey interview in March revealed that 44% of Americans did not sympathize with their choice, while 40% did.

Additionally, unfavorable ratings for Prince Harry rose by 9 points compared to the previous year, from 17% to 26%, and negative ratings for Meghan Markle increased by 10 points, from 23% to 33%.
