Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Could Face Roasting at the 2023 Oscars

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and , might be in for a rough time at the upcoming 2023 Oscars.

According to PR expert and founder of The Moment Lab, Matt Yanofsky, there is a possibility that the famous couple could face jokes and mockery from the comedic hosts at the prestigious event, scheduled for this Sunday, March 12th, in Los Angeles.

Yanofsky believes that the scathing South Park episode, which humorously parodied and , might have paved the way for them to become targets of ridicule at the 95th annual Academy Awards.

Despite not attending the ceremony due to their privacy concerns, the couple may still find themselves referenced during Hollywood's grand night.

“Meghan and Harry are no longer untouchable in the US,” stated Yanofsky, emphasizing that the South Park episode has opened the floodgates for people to express their true thoughts about the couple.

He further explained that South Park has become an influential show in pop culture, fearlessly addressing topics that others shy away from.

The episode received positive feedback from viewers, with many considering it to be pure gold.

Yanofsky also highlighted the Oscars as an audience that can sometimes be out of touch with reality.

He expressed uncertainty about whether they would joke about the couple this year or wait for five more years to mock them.

It remains to be seen how the Oscars audience will react to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's presence, considering their dwindling popularity.

However, it seems that the Sussexes have no reason to worry about being the subject of potential jokes at the Oscars.

As Yanofsky pointed out, they were never invited to the ceremony and are unlikely to ever be, as they lack relevance in the film industry.

With no ongoing or future projects and no involvement in the world of film or music, the couple does not fit the criteria for an invitation.

Interestingly, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has already taken a jab at Prince Harry.

On his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel introduced a rhyming children's book titled “The Prince and the p-nis,” mocking a passage from Harry's memoir, “Spare.”

The book humorously references a chilly incident at the North Pole, with appearing from a cloud to offer cream for Harry's frostbitten body part.

While it remains to be seen how the Oscars will address Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, one thing is clear: their status has shifted, and they are no longer immune to criticism in the United States.

The South Park episode and Kimmel's mockery have given others permission to openly express their opinions about the couple.

Whether they become the b*tt of jokes at the Oscars or not, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will certainly be closely watched on Hollywood's biggest night.
