Fans Call for Removal of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Official Royal Website
Some fans of the British Royal Family are demanding that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle be removed from the official website before the release of Harry's memoir.
Ever since their decision to step down from their Royal duties, the couple has been residing in California.
Their relationship with the Royal Family has deteriorated further following their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Royal author Richard Fitzwilliams believes that the Royal Family is apprehensive about the upcoming release of Harry's memoir titled “Spare.”
He expressed his concerns to Mail Online, stating that the title suggests that the writer was not valued or did not feel at the center of events.
Fitzwilliams added, “When the blurb speaks of raw, unflinching honesty, the palace will be very concerned, especially since these are the early months of King Charles' reign.
There will undoubtedly be interviews, serialization, and endless speculation about this memoir, which in my view should have waited many years.”
Comparing it to Edward VIII's publication of “A King's Story” in 1951, Fitzwilliams emphasized that the consequences of Harry's memoir could be far-reaching and highly destructive.
The memoir is set to be released on January 10, 2023, and there are concerns that it could result in Harry losing his titles and inheritance.
Author Mark Borkoski echoed Fitzwilliams' worries, highlighting that publishers pay an advance based on a certain premise.
Borkoski told Mail Online, “So, there's always going to be a battle over the content, but could they have made substantial edits in time for January?
Yes, in the modern world it's very easy to get things changed and printed.
The key period for selling books is Christmas, so they'll be missing a lot of sales.
January doesn't strike me as an optimum time for a release, so if that is significant, it would suggest there's been a bit of a dispute over the content and Harry may have got his way.”
The opinions on this matter are divided, and it would be interesting to hear what you think.
