Royal Secrets: Prince William and Kate Middleton Share Exciting News with Queen Elizabeth

and , the beloved couple known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have reportedly shared some joyful news with .

According to a report in the Star magazine, the couple informed the Queen about their fourth pregnancy before her passing on September 8 at Balmoral Castle.

This exciting revelation was a special moment for the royal family, as it is rumored that William broke the news to his grandmother just moments before her departure.

The timing made it all the more significant, and the Queen was said to be overjoyed for them.

Her love for her great-grandchildren and grandchildren was well-known, particularly her affection for the younger ones.

However, there is more to this story.

It seems that Prince Charles, the future King, has been compelled to take action regarding the royal positions of and Prince Edward.

He has requested an urgent change to the Regency Act, which governs the appointment of councillors of state.

Currently, there are five councillors of state, but two of them, and Prince Andrew, are not actively involved in royal affairs and are no longer working members of the royal family.

This prompted to communicate urgently with Parliament, as he wished to appoint his sister and brother to these positions.

The imminent trip of the Prince and Princess of Wales to America played a significant role in Charles' decision.

As would not be available to serve as King in case of Charles' absence due to the overseas trip, the King wrote a letter to Parliament on his birthday.

He requested that the necessary legislation be brought forward as soon as possible to accommodate this legal change.

Richard Palmer, a royal correspondent for the Daily Express, found this urgency intriguing, as it demonstrated the importance Charles placed on resolving the matter swiftly.

Pandora Forsyth, an anchor for Royal Roundup, also commented on the significance of the situation, emphasizing the need for a prompt resolution.

To ensure the continued effectiveness of public affairs in the monarch's absence, a larger number of councillors of state would be appointed, as stated in the letter bearing the King's signature, which was read to the House of Lords.

Currently, Prince William is the only working royal among the four individuals in the line of succession.

Although it is not a requirement for a working royal to fulfill this role, there would likely be controversy if Prince Andrew or were asked to assume the responsibilities.

Harry, being out of the country, is unable to fulfill the role, as one must be in England to do so.

Concerns have also been raised about Prince Andrew potentially reclaiming the spotlight for the royal family if he were to step in as a councillor of state.

The proposed amendment to the Regency Act would sideline Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, and Princess Beatrice, according to the Daily Express royal correspondent.

While Princess Beatrice has done nothing wrong, she had previously expressed her desire to pursue a career rather than become a full-time working royal.

As for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry retired as a senior royal in 2020 and currently resides in California with his wife and children.

Therefore, it is unlikely that he will perform duties on behalf of the King.

As the Prince and Princess of Wales prepare for their trip to America at the end of November, they are expected to engage in various royal engagements, including the Earthshot Prize presentation on December 2nd.

Meanwhile, Richard Palmer suggests that the law may be changed by the end of November or early December to allow for the appointment of and Prince Edward as councillors of state.

At present, and Prince William have not addressed the rumors surrounding their alleged fourth child.
