Laughstock: Meghan Markle’s Ambitious Quest for Fame as a Global Princess

's aspirations to become the most famous princess in the world have been met with laughter and criticism.

Political commentator Mr. Calvin Robinson finds it absurd that Meghan and continue to use their royal titles despite stepping back from their duties.

In a recent event, the couple introduced themselves as royalty, which Mr. Robinson deems inappropriate given their involvement with Netflix, Disney, and the Hollywood industry.

He argues that if they want to engage in politics and pursue business ventures, they should relinquish their titles.

According to Mr. Robinson, Meghan's pursuit of global fame is dragging down not only the British institution but also the entire royal family.

Last year, when Meghan and Harry decided to step back from their royal duties, an agreement was reached with the Queen that they would retain their titles but no longer use their HRH titles.

However, exclusive polls conducted by the Sunday Express reveal that the public believes the couple should stop using their royal titles to promote their business deals or political views.

The surveys also indicate a significant decline in Meghan's popularity, both in the UK and across the Atlantic.

This decline follows her recent apology to the Court of Appeal for failing to disclose her cooperation with the authors of the controversial biography, Finding Freedom.

Additionally, leaked emails revealed her acknowledgement that a letter to her father could be made public.

A palace aide reportedly stated that Meghan's apology to the court demonstrates why legal action should be avoided.

The aide emphasized that this outcome was inevitable and that there is no joy or satisfaction within the royal family about the situation.

They are, after all, family members.

Furthermore, Meghan has faced criticism for using her royal title while cold-calling US politicians to advocate for federal paid parental leave.

When asked whether the couple should use their royal titles for business or political purposes, 73% of respondents in the UK and 59% in the US believe they should stop.

Regarding the impact of the court revelations on public opinion of , 29% of UK respondents stated that their opinion had diminished, while 62% said it remained unchanged.

In the US, 20% reported a decrease in their opinion of her.

The question of whether the couple should be stripped of their Duke and Duchess titles received divided responses in Britain, with 48% in favor of revoking their titles compared to 33% in the US, where Meghan, Harry, and their children currently reside.

This turbulent week for Meghan, aged 40, has been dominated by her privacy case against the Mail on Sunday newspaper.

During the proceedings, she was compelled to apologize for failing to disclose her collaboration with the authors of Finding Freedom.

Unseen texts between Meghan and former top Kensington Palace aide Jason Knauf also revealed her acknowledgment that the letter to her estranged father, Thomas Markle, which is the subject of the newspaper's legal appeal, could potentially become public.

Earlier this month, the Duchess of Sussex sparked controversy when she used her royal title to lobby Congress for paid parental leave.

In her politically charged letter, she argued against families having to choose between work and caring for their loved ones.

She emphasized the importance of comprehensive paid leave plans in addressing mental health outcomes, healthcare costs, and economic stability.

Meghan Markle's pursuit of global fame as the most famous princess in the world continues to generate both criticism and skepticism.

The public's perception of her has been significantly affected by recent revelations, leading to calls for her and to distance themselves from their royal titles.

As the couple navigates the complexities of their post-royal lives, the debate surrounding their status and influence shows no signs of abating.
