Lady Colin Slams Meghan Markle for Supposedly Distasteful Behavior at Queen’s Funeral
Lady Colin has recently criticized Meghan Markle for her alleged distasteful behavior during the procession behind Queen Elizabeth II's coffin at Buckingham Palace.
While it is expected that King Charles III will soon anoint Prince Archie III and Princess Lilibet I, reports suggest that the Sussex children will not be granted HRH (His/Her Royal Highness) status.
This decision has sparked a debate among royal commentators regarding its appropriateness, considering Harry and Meghan's departure from prominent roles within the royal family.
During an interview with GB News' Dan Wooten, Lady C expressed her thoughts on the matter.
Dan Wooten questioned why Harry and Meghan would want to give their children HRH titles, given their apparent feelings towards the institution and Britain.
Lady C responded by stating that they are opportunistic and driven by money, recognition, and status.
She emphasized that there is precedent for grandchildren of a monarch not having the use of prince or princess titles, citing Lord Severn and Lady Louise Windsor as examples.
Furthermore, Lady C criticized the names chosen for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
She found “Prince Archie” to be reminiscent of the character Archie Bunker, while she deemed “Princess Lilibet” tasteless and vulgar, arguing that it deviates from the traditional naming conventions of royalty.
Lady C believes that Harry and Meghan are focused on capitalizing on their royal status rather than using it to serve the British people and the Commonwealth.
Regarding the reported uproar, Lady C expressed her opinion that King Charles should follow the precedent set with the Wessex children and not grant prince or princess titles to Harry and Meghan's children.
She argued that Harry and Meghan are not more special than the Earl and Countess of Wessex and their two children.
In response to concerns about security, The Sun reported that Harry and Meghan were worried about the level of security their children would receive without HRH titles.
However, it has been made clear that Archie and Lilibet will not be granted HRH status because they are not working royals.
The question now arises: Should Harry and Meghan be permanently banned from the royal family, as Lady C suggests?
