In a twist of fate, the highly anticipated Netflix show of and is set to be released at the same time as and Princess Kate's tour in the United States.

Sources from the US reveal that the exact release date for the long-awaited docuseries has been confirmed as December 8th.

Despite Netflix reportedly paying a staggering £88 million for the rights to the fly-on-the-wall documentary, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex allegedly attempted to postpone its screening until 2023.

Their intention was to make edits following the passing of in September.

The couple's desire for changes to the show coincided with Netflix bosses' concern over the backlash against season 5 of “The Crown” for its historical inaccuracies.

Consequently, there were discussions about delaying the release of the Sussex's documentary.

However, it has now been confirmed that the series, which offers an intimate look into the couple's love story, will indeed premiere on December 8th.

Interestingly, this is around the same time that and Princess Kate embark on their US tour.

The royal couple is scheduled to be in Boston on December 2nd for the Earthshot Prize Award ceremony, honoring environmental contributions.

The first choice for director was Gary Bradley, known for her work on the acclaimed series about Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka.

Yet, disagreements over the vision of the project led to her departure and subsequent replacement by Liz Garbus, a filmmaker renowned for her films on iconic singer-songwriter Nina Simone.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are currently on a break from official duties as they continue to mourn the loss of .

However, they will soon travel to Boston to attend the Earthshot Prize Award ceremony.

In a video message played at the Earthshot prize innovation summit in New York, Prince William expressed his excitement about the upcoming trip, stating that it is unfortunate he cannot be there in person due to the sad circumstances surrounding his grandmother's passing.
