Jill Biden’s Lemon Dress: A Subtle Nod of Support or Just a Joke?

In a surprising turn of events, it seems that First Lady Jill Biden was in on the joke regarding the infamous lemon basket.

Sussex fans, fervent supporters of and , believed that Jill Biden's choice of attire was a subtle show of support for the couple.

According to the Daily Express, this belief stemmed from sending the First Lady a basket of lemons during a time of speculation about her allegiance to Team Sussex, shortly after the couple stepped down as senior royals.

The incident in question occurred the day after Harry and Meghan's explosive Oprah interview aired in 2021.

Jill Biden attended a public event, the International Women of Courage Awards ceremony in Washington, wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress adorned with a lemon pattern.

Eagle-eyed Sussex fans were quick to note that it was the same print Meghan had worn for her first public appearance after leaving royal life, albeit in a different dress.

Interestingly, Meghan had previously donned a sleeveless lemon print dress by the same designer a month prior, when she joined for Spotify's Stream On Event in 2021.

Twitter ignited with speculation, interpreting Jill Biden's choice of outfit as a covert signal of support for Team Sussex.

However, it's worth mentioning that the First Lady had worn the dress on multiple occasions before and after the event, indicating that it may not have held any intentional meaning.

The Daily Mail exclusively revealed that Meghan had indeed sent Jill Biden a basket of lemons as a thank-you gift, with a source close to her confirming that the First Lady was aware of the joke.

But did Meghan extend this gesture to other celebrities who embraced the lemon print dress trend, such as Kris Jenner, Penelope Disick, Nina Dobrev, Georgina Rodriguez, Amanda Holden, Sophie Vergara, and Deborah Roberts?

Were they all showing solidarity with Meghan or merely inspired by her impeccable style?

Meghan's conviction in her own greatness led her to believe that the First Lady of the United States was following her lead.

She couldn't fathom the idea that other women would choose a lemon print dress unless she had worn it first.

The fate of the lemons after their arrival at the White House remains unclear, as the First Lady's office declined to comment on the matter.

However, according to experts at Good Housekeeping, if a First Lady receives a gift from anyone other than a foreign official, they are allowed to keep it.

The exception lies in food and drink gifts, combustible items, and any item applied to the skin, which must be destroyed for the safety of the First Family.

It's safe to assume that the lemons were thoroughly scanned, x-rayed, and subjected to stringent security measures before being destroyed.

This is a standard procedure to ensure the safety of the President and his family.

According to a source, Meghan has faced significant opposition from the political sphere, particularly prominent figures in the Democratic Party, since the New York City Forks Royal Tour.

As Meghan identifies as a liberal, she has allegedly been relentless in her harassment of these individuals.

The Bidens, Obamas, Pelosis, and Harrises reportedly have no interest in engaging with Meghan or Harry.

Contrary to popular belief, Dr. Jill Biden is not in on any joke with Meghan.

In Meghan's world, being “in on the joke” means that the First Lady will not address the speculations, allowing Meghan to use it to her advantage, much like her infamous mantra of “never complain, never explain” against the Royal Family.

First, Meghan claimed that Jill Biden's choice of dress was a nod of support for Team Sussex.

Now, she insists it was all just a joke.

But why did she send the lemons in the first place?

Meghan's lack of humor or subtlety raises questions about the true intention behind her actions.
