Meghan Markle Reportedly Feels Threatened by Prince Harry’s Ex-Girlfriend Chelsea Davy
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is said to have felt threatened by Chelsea Davy, Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend.
According to sources, Markle allegedly warned Davy to stay away from her husband when he approached her for his upcoming biography, Spare.
The insider, who spoke with The New Idea, revealed that Markle was rankled by the fact that Harry had reached out to Davy, as they had dated for seven years before breaking up in 2011.
The source further stated that everyone knows Harry would have married Davy if she hadn't objected to living a public life, which adds to Markle's fears.
Harry had invited his friends and ex-girlfriends, including Davy and Cressida Bonos, to consult with his ghostwriter about contributing to his biography, set to be published in January.
However, both Davy and Bonos politely declined his plea, saying they would think about it.
Bonos had also dated Harry from 2012 to 2014.
Despite Markle's attempts to ignore the situation, knowing that Harry and Davy had spoken to each other brought back her concerns.
On a different note, during her visit to the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June, Meghan Markle made a compassionate gesture to assist American families facing a newborn formula shortage.
Markle covertly made a donation to support young families struggling to feed their children during the severe infant formula scarcity that plagued the US from May to July.
After speaking with her friend Tyler Perry, Markle was determined to help.
Perry mentioned her generosity at the annual Baby 2 Baby Gala, where he addressed an audience of 800 guests at Los Angeles' Pacific Design Center.
He discussed the global infant formula scarcity and his own struggles to find extra formula.
Markle's dedication to nutritious food was evident in her now-defunct blog, The Tig.
She described Los Angeles as the holy grail of healthy eating, emphasizing her commitment to consuming organic food whenever possible.
Her friend Daniel Martin, a cosmetics artist, also highlighted Markle's passion for cooking and her desire to raise her children in a clean and green environment.
In September, the Sussex family returned to the UK for Queen Elizabeth's funeral, a more solemn occasion.
It remains uncertain whether they will be present to witness King Charles' coronation next spring, which coincides with Archie's fourth birthday on May 6, 2023.
In other news, Mikhail Baryshnikov, the acclaimed actor known for his role as Aleksandr Petrovsky in the HBO series “s**x and the city,” received the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award from Queen consort Camilla.
Baryshnikov, who was born in Riga when Latvia was still part of the Soviet Union, rose to fame in New York's ballet scene in the 1970s.
He began his ballet studies in Riga before joining the Kirov Ballet in Leningrad.
In 1974, while on tour with the Bolshoi Ballet in Toronto, he defected to Canada and later joined the American Ballet Theatre and the New York City Ballet.
Expressing his gratitude, Baryshnikov said, “I truly don't have the words to express how I feel right now, but perhaps I can try to put my feelings in perspective.
‘Dancing' has always been my mentor, my instructor, and my closest friend.
It has provided me enormous delight, never made me feel burdened, and never let me down.
I feel fortunate to have discovered it; it has been an unspoken conversation with the globe.”
