Hollywood Turns Its Back on Meghan Markle as George Clooney Claims Ignorance
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's friendship with Hollywood A-lister George Clooney seems to have hit a rough patch.
Reports suggest that the once close pals are no longer as tight-knit as they used to be since Meghan and Harry tied the knot in 2018.
Previously described as boss and buddies, Meghan and George enjoyed each other's company, and George and his wife Amal were frequent visitors to the royal couple's homes in LA and Oxfordshire, according to the Daily Mirror.
However, it appears that the dynamics have shifted, with George and Amal seemingly forming a closer bond with King Charles, even attending a Prince's Trust event in London.
The change in their friendship became evident when George was asked if he knew Meghan.
In response, the Gravity actor simply replied, “I don't.”
It is worth noting that he did attend their Windsor Chapel wedding in the past, as reported by the Mail.
It seems that not all Hollywood A-listers are extending a warm welcome to the couple.
Filmmaker Steven Spielberg and talk show queen Oprah Winfrey have allegedly excluded them from their invite lists.
Julia Louise Dreyfus, among others, has also distanced herself from Meghan.
When asked about any connection, she stated, “I haven't heard of a connection there, though Meghan would love that since Julia's father was a billionaire.”
It is clear that Julia has successfully avoided any association with Meghan.
Regarding the Clooneys, George and especially his wife Amal are known for their ability to navigate society and climb the social ladder.
Much like the Beckhams, they have mastered the art of networking.
Harry and Meghan were valuable and prestigious friends to them, nothing more.
However, after Megxit, they did to Meghan what Meghan usually does to her best friends and people from her past – they dumped her.
George and Amal are very private individuals who carefully curate their public image.
They only reveal what they want the world to see, and their children are off-limits.
Observing how Harry and Meghan treat their own family and friends, the Clooneys have wisely chosen not to engage further.
They certainly don't want to end up like Courteney Cox.
It seems that Hollywood has had enough of Meghan's behavior.
The industry didn't appreciate how she tried to humiliate people she interviewed on a podcast, especially those she had met in Hollywood before becoming the Lady of Dumbarton.
Making comments like “we met before, you know,” and putting others in awkward situations did not sit well with the entertainment community.
It is understood that famous individuals meet countless people throughout their careers and cannot be expected to remember every single one of them, particularly if they become famous later on.
That's just the way it goes.
As a result, the Sussexes have been quietly blacklisted by prominent figures in the industry, who no longer wish to associate with Meghan.
Moreover, she is unlikely to be seriously considered for projects.
