Jessica Mulroney Reveals Reason for Deleting Meghan Markle Photo
In a surprising turn of events, Jessica Mulroney has finally shed light on why she keeps deleting photos from her Instagram account and making it private.
The famous stylist recently shared a photo of Meghan Markle and one of her sons, accompanied by an explanation.
Taking to her Instagram stories on Tuesday, Mulroney addressed the issue, stating, “People frequently question why I delete particular pictures.
The amount of abuse and hostility I've endured for three years.
I've had enough of staring at it.
Be considerate.
Be polite.
We are adults now.
Cease behaving like adolescents.
True ladies don't disparage other women.”
Ever since her return to Instagram in early August after a two-month hiatus, Mulroney has faced challenges on the social media platform.
Her absence was prompted by Canadian lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter's exposé, where she accused Mulroney of displaying textbook white privilege in a lengthy video posted on Instagram in June.
This controversy resulted in Mulroney losing her partnerships with ABC and CTV.
Since then, the former TV host has mainly shared images of her twin sons on Instagram.
However, towards the end of August, she posted a photo of her son grinning behind Meghan Markle as she walked down the aisle during her wedding to Prince Harry, captioning it, “I see this and pure bliss.”
According to Page Six, Mulroney's friendship with Markle is currently strained.
A source revealed, “I don't know what the tipping point was, but Jess has been on the outs for a while.
There is no denying that their friendship has changed.
And frankly, how can you have such a strong friendship when one of you is essentially turning it into a career?”
In other news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may face a chilly reception from the British public if they attend King Charles' coronation, set for May 6 next year.
Royal expert Phil Dampier expressed this sentiment following the controversy surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Netflix series.
Dampier emphasized that it is up to King Charles to decide whether to invite Harry and Meghan or leave the door open for them.
However, he warned that negative public reactions should not come as a surprise.
The couple faced jeers and shouts at a Platinum Jubilee celebration earlier this year after relinquishing their royal responsibilities in 2020 to start a new life in the US.
The first three episodes of Harry and Meghan's six-part Netflix series have already been released, with three more scheduled to air next week.
The documentary has garnered significant popularity, surpassing viewership numbers for the renowned royal drama, The Crown, on its launch day.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex caused a stir with her “mocking” curtsy to Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal acquaintance and novelist Giles Brandreth criticized her actions, stating, “It's embarrassing because it is mocking… nobody curtsies to the Queen like that.”
The royal family's response to the show has also sparked controversy.
Conservative backbencher Bob Seeley intends to introduce legislation that could potentially lead to the revocation of Harry and Meghan's royal titles.
Seeley argues that their relationship has become a political issue, accusing Harry of attacking important institutions in the country while monetizing his suffering for public consumption.
In March 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped down from their roles as working royals to pursue a new life of financial and emotional independence in California.
As their journey unfolds, the dynamics between the couple and the British public continue to evolve.
