Harry’s Visit to the UK: A Telling Sign of a Broken Relationship with Charles

's recent visit to the UK has raised eyebrows and sparked speculation about the strained relationship between him and his family, particularly his father, III.

The Duke of Sussex traveled back to London for a preliminary hearing in his lawsuit against the publishers of the Daily Mail, Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL).

While it is unlikely that he had any interactions with his relatives during his visit, the timing of his appearance is significant.

On Thursday, attended a preliminary hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice in London for his legal action against ANL.

The Duke of Sussex accuses the publisher of illegal information collecting, a claim that ANL disputes.

ANL is responsible for publishing the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday and is currently facing lawsuits from several high-profile individuals.

In a witness statement, Prince Harry condemned journalists who employ tactics like phone-hacking, labeling them as criminals.

Interestingly, his appearance coincided with III's first official state visit abroad as the monarch.

The King delivered a momentous speech to the Bundestag in Germany, but there were no indications of a reunion between father and son, despite Harry's initial return to the UK while his father was still present.

A royal author, Alexander Larman, who discussed the Duke's visit on the Royalius podcast, believes that Harry has no intention of reconciling with his family.

Larman suggests that Harry has moved on to a new life and a different way of living, making it highly unlikely for him to return to Britain and resume a normal life there.

The fact that none of his family members have been able to see him during his visit to the UK, including his attempt to meet with King Charles, indicates the deep divide within the royal family.

Speculation arose when Harry unexpectedly attended the High Court hearing earlier this week, questioning whether he would have time to visit his family.

Some suggested that Charles, whose planned trip to France had been canceled, might have been available to welcome his son home.

However, it appears that Harry's brother, , and his family are spending the Easter holidays away from home, making it impossible for them to meet.

The royal author Christopher Anderson claims that Harry is still upset with Charles over the shocking allegations made in his book, Spare, where he portrays his stepmother, , in a negative light.

This further diminishes the chances of a warm reception from Charles, even if Harry were to seek reconciliation before the coronation.

Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal analyst, concurs that Harry is not expected to visit any of his family members during his stay.

The rift between the Sussexes and the royal family remains deep, leaving no room for planned meetings.

Additionally, King Charles III is not currently in London, as he has his own engagements and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, and Kate are enjoying their Easter break with their children, further limiting the opportunity for a family gathering.

Ingrid Seward, another royal author, shared similar sentiments in an interview with the Mirror.

She highlighted that while any average father would expect to meet his son during a rare visit, Charles is not an ordinary father.

As the King, his schedule is packed with back-to-back appointments, meetings, and important governmental matters.

Even the cancellation of the state visit to France led to an overflow of pressing issues on his calendar.

Being a full-time monarch leaves little room for personal matters, and Harry's betrayal of his family in his book, Spare, gives Charles little incentive to seek a confrontation with his son.

Perhaps, Seward suggests, Harry himself did not wish to see his father, especially considering that Charles and were scheduled to be abroad when he arrived in the UK.

It is unlikely that Harry would have wanted to postpone a politically delicate state visit on his account.

As Harry's visit to the UK comes to an end, it becomes increasingly clear that the divide between him and his family remains unbridgeable.
