Meghan Markle Banned from Hollywood Christmas Parade, Requests Denied
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has been banned from participating in the 91st Hollywood Christmas Parade.
The annual event, which is a church tradition, is set to take place on Sunday at 6 o'clock p.m. and will feature a star-studded lineup of celebrities as co-hosts, including Eric Esther and Dean Cain.
However, it has been reported that Meghan Markle has been prohibited from joining the parade.
The Hollywood Christmas Parade is expected to attract thousands of spectators along its 3.2-mile U-shaped route.
Over 90 celebrities, 14 pre-parade and parade performers, 10 bands, six four-story high-character balloons, three floats, 39 movie cars, and eight novelty vehicles will entertain the crowd.
The grand finale will showcase Santa Claus and his reindeer.
The event also supports the Marine Toys for Tots charity, with approximately 5,000 participants taking part in the parade.
According to a source, the parade organizers, WNIE, decided to prevent Meghan from participating due to concerns that her presence might overshadow the event and go unnoticed.
However, an insider revealed that Meghan had requested billboards featuring her image with feminist and humanitarian slogans to be displayed along the parade road.
She also expressed her desire to ride in a carriage alongside her husband, Prince Harry, who would be portraying Santa Claus.
Unfortunately, her requests were disregarded by the organizers.
The Hollywood Christmas Parade, produced annually by Associated Television International, is broadcasted on the Hallmark Channel and in traditional syndication.
In an attempt to secure a televised appearance, Meghan reached out to WNIE.
However, her efforts were in vain as she was ultimately barred from participating in the event.
The parade will kick off at 6 o'clock p.m. on Sunday, starting at Orange Street on Hollywood Boulevard.
It will then proceed east on Hollywood Boulevard to Vine Street, followed by a southward route on Vine Street to Sunset Boulevard.
Finally, the parade will head west on Sunset back to Orange.
Notable participants in the parade include Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, dancer and singer Paula Abdul, singer Dwight Yoakam, radio host Cree Kassam, pop duo Alien A.J., and actors Chris Catton, Craig Robinson, Ernie Hudson, Brandon Riv, Mingna, Denise Richards, and Tatiana Ali.
The Hollywood Christmas Parade has always been a platform for charitable organizations, with a particular emphasis on Toys for Tots and helping underprivileged individuals during the holiday season.
The event serves as a reminder of our shared humanity and the importance of kindness and mutual assistance.
This news comes amidst reports suggesting that Meghan Markle is uncertain about her career path following her withdrawal from royal duties with Prince Harry in 2020.
Author Ahmed Scobie, while promoting his upcoming book, mentioned that business and philanthropy would be Meghan's main focus.
He also revealed that Meghan's business plans had undergone multiple changes during his conversations with people for the book.
