Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Backlash Over Leaked Private Conversation with Prince Charles
A RAW commentator has criticized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following the publication of leaked details about a private conversation between Harry and his father, King Charles, on the occasion of Charles' 75th birthday.
The leaks have raised suspicions within the RAW family, making the couple unwelcome at future family events.
Richard Eden, a RAW commentator for the Daily Mail, questioned how the media was able to learn about the private conversation ahead of time.
He also expressed surprise that the Daily Telegraph was able to obtain details of the conversation, which only a few people could have been privy to.
Eden further accused the couple of having a history of revealing intimate details about the RAW family, citing their interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Netflix docuseries “Harry and Meghan,” and Harry's memoir “Spare.”
While Buckingham Palace officials have remained tight-lipped about King Charles' private birthday celebrations, sources revealed to the BBC that Harry had called his father on his birthday.
Subsequently, the Daily Telegraph managed to obtain details of the phone conversation between Charles and his youngest son, which is one of the few British newspapers that Harry speaks favorably of.
According to Eden, although there seems to be an improvement in Charles' relationship with Harry, it is evident that the couple is not welcome at family events.
He also suggested that the rift between the two sides is unlikely to be resolved anytime soon.
Meanwhile, royal staffers are reportedly furious about the shocking revelations regarding Prince Harry's clash with his brother, Prince William.
In the upcoming book “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival” by Scobie, it is detailed how the feud between the two brothers intensified as Queen Elizabeth II was nearing the end of her life.
Palace insiders have criticized Scobie's claims that William ignored Harry's desperate calls as he rushed to be by the Queen's bedside in Balmoral last September.
A royal insider told the Mirror that no matter what happens behind closed doors, the royal family is concerned that it will eventually come to light.
The insider also mentioned that William and Kate seem to be the main targets of Scobie's book.
It only takes a few months for old wounds to resurface.
In an excerpt from his book, Scobie alleges that Harry was kept uninformed about the Queen's health in the hours before her death, a claim that royal courtiers have reportedly dismissed.
Scobie, who maintains a professional friendship with Meghan Markle, stated that there is no evidence to support the belief that Charles called his son during the Queen's final moments.
According to Scobie, Harry and Meghan were unaware that Buckingham Palace was already preparing for the Queen's passing last year.
It was only the next morning when Harry received a call from an unknown number that they realized something was happening.
The revelations surrounding the leaked conversation and the ongoing feud between the brothers have undoubtedly created tension within the royal family.
The public awaits further developments and hopes for a resolution to the conflicts that have plagued the RAW couple and the rest of the family.
