Prince William and Catherine’s Children Face New Rule as Prince George Approaches Milestone Birthday

When the Prince and Princess of Wales embarked on a visit to Northern Ireland, their thoughts were never far from their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The couple's day began with a visit to Ulster's University, Mackay campus, followed by a delightful encounter at the campus petting zoo.

Catherine had the opportunity to hold a tarantula named Charlotte, while William bravely handled a snake, knowing well that his eldest son would be upset by this.

As he held the reptile, William humorously remarked, “George is going to be so upset,” causing his wife to laugh and stand by his side.

He further added, “The children are not going to believe I did this.”

The prince admired the python, carefully cradling it with both hands and ensuring he didn't lose sight of the snake, which he was informed was female.

In a light-hearted tone, William quipped to the handler, “I won't ask you how you know it's a she; we'll talk about that later,” as he returned the reptile, noting how soft it felt to the touch.

It comes as no surprise that the couple's three children would be distressed by such a daring encounter, given their mother's previous remarks about their fondness for the outdoors, particularly spiders.

Catherine once shared that she spends hours hunting for spiders with her older children.

Like any other family, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children, have a set of rules they must adhere to in their daily lives.

These golden rules range from wearing the Honiton gown at their christening to learning a second language, and even refraining from consuming shellfish, which falls on the more peculiar side.

However, there is one particular protocol that William and Catherine consistently break when it comes to their travels, although their rule-breaking days are soon coming to an end.

Travel is a matter taken seriously by the royal family, and it's not just about the two heirs traveling separately.

Contrary to expectations, the royals are allowed to travel by commercial airline.

Royal protocols dictate that two heirs must not travel together, primarily for security reasons, as ensuring the preservation of the line of succession is of utmost importance.

However, avid followers of Prince William's travels are well aware that he frequently takes both Prince George and Princess Charlotte with him on overseas trips, accompanied by their mother.

The royal couple has always expressed their desire for their children to lead as normal a life as possible, which has granted them the opportunity to explore places like Poland and Canada together.

A young Prince George even embarked on one of his first trips abroad alongside both of his parents when he was just nine months old.

As is often the case with royal traditions, milestone birthdays bring about changes, and Prince George's future travels with his family will soon experience a noticeable shift.

Once the young prince, who is second in line to the throne, turns twelve, he may have to make separate travel arrangements, similar to what his father did at that age.

Currently, the ten-year-old prince is believed to be preparing for the ISEB Common Pre-Test, an exam typically taken by students in year six (equivalent to fifth grade in the United States).

This assessment evaluates a student's achievements and potential prior to entering senior school.

Fortunately, Prince George will likely only need to sit for this test once.
