Sarah Ferguson Lands TV Role as Meghan Markle Misses Out on Opportunities
Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, is making waves in her career as she secures more work than Meghan Markle.
The Duchess of York is set to take on a regular slot on television, marking a major change in her professional life.
Since her divorce from Prince Andrew in 1996, Sarah has dabbled in various creative endeavors, including writing novels and producing films such as “The Young Victoria.”
However, her new role as an agony aunt offering advice on love and relationships on television is a significant milestone for her.
Throughout her career, Sarah has achieved numerous accomplishments.
In 2011, she starred alongside Oprah Winfrey in the miniseries “Finding Sarah.”
Last year, she embarked on producing a TV documentary about Princess Louise of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg, Prince Albert's mother.
Moreover, during the pandemic, Sarah launched a YouTube series called “Storytime with Fergie and Friends.”
Additionally, in May 2023, she introduced the weekly podcast “Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah,” co-hosted by Sarah Thompson.
Recently, Sarah made her debut as a guest editor and co-host on the show “This Morning,” joining forces with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
Expressing her excitement, Sarah shared, “I was thrilled to join ‘This Morning' with Dermot and Alison today.
As a co-host and guest editor, I had the privilege to select topics that I am passionate about.
I want to extend my gratitude to my wonderful co-hosts and everyone who tuned in.”
There were rumors that ITV was considering Meghan Markle for a recurring spot on the show.
However, Sarah Ferguson's presence has put those speculations to rest.
It seems that Meghan is currently not receiving any work opportunities.
Fergie recently threw some shade at Harry and Meghan during an interview, indirectly referring to their indecisiveness.
She stated, “You can't have it both ways.
You're either in or out of the institution.
If you choose to leave, then live your choice and embrace it fully.
Don't complain about not being invited to weddings.”
Despite her comments, Sarah emphasized that she would never judge the Sussexes.
In contrast to Harry and Meghan, she refrained from speaking negatively about Andrew's relatives and vowed to be there for her ex-husband despite his s**ual assault scandal.
However, Sarah's statements seem to contain a veiled jibe at Meghan Markle.
During an episode of her podcast, “Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah,” she discussed etiquette tricks and advised her daughters to always smile when in the public eye.
She emphasized, “No one wants to see a grumpy princess.”
This comment comes in light of Meghan Markle's recent appearance, where she appeared less than cheerful after news broke that her Archetypes podcast would not be renewed for a second season on Spotify.
Meghan was seen looking tense and without her usual radiant smile during an outing in Montecito, without her husband and children.
In addition to offering etiquette lessons to her daughters, Sarah played a role in teaching Meghan Markle how to curtsy when meeting the Queen for the first time.
It is clear that Sarah Ferguson is making strides in her career while Meghan Markle seems to be missing out on opportunities.
As Sarah takes on her new role as an agony aunt on television, it will be interesting to see what lies ahead for both women in their respective careers.
