Royals Join in Halloween Festivities with Trick-or-Treating

Spooky season is in full swing, and people around the world are getting into the Halloween spirit by dressing up as ghosts, ghouls, and all sorts of eerie creatures.

Surprisingly, even the royals get in on the fun.

While most senior members of the royal family don't typically dress up for Halloween, some of them do partake in other celebrations, especially those with young children.

Just like any other family, Prince George, , and are likely engaging in fall and Halloween-related activities during their time off, as they have done in previous years.

In fact, a few years ago, the Kensington neighbors of and shared an Instagram story showing the Duchess of Cambridge taking her three little ones trick-or-treating.

The heartwarming image was posted by Jay Rutland, husband of Tamara Ecclestone, with a caption that read, “For anyone doubting how down-to-earth William and Kate are, this is Kate with their kids knocking on our door in London, trick-or-treating at Halloween,” accompanied by a pumpkin emoji.

The photo captured the trio standing at the grand black gates of the Rutland-Ecclestone residence.

excitedly clung onto the gates with both hands, while his sister Charlotte stood beside him.

Prince George stood behind his siblings, next to a beaming Catherine.

Although it's unclear what costumes the royal children were wearing in the photo, the image suggests that they made a stop on their way home from school.

It would be delightful to catch a glimpse of this adorable trio in their fancy dress costumes.

Jay and Tamara's lavish $70 million home is conveniently located near William and Catherine's official London residence, Apartment 1A, at Kensington Palace.

Jay mentioned that Kate and the kids were very friendly and down-to-earth during their Halloween visit.

Before marrying , Catherine celebrated Halloween in 2007 by attending a party with her younger sister, Pippa Middleton.

The future Queen Consort donned a dress, black cape, fishnet stockings, and boots, creating a spooky character—perhaps an understated witch or glam vampire—for the night's festivities.

Nowadays, both Catherine and Pippa, who is also a mother of three, may opt for more low-key Halloween celebrations.

Pippa mentioned in her book, Celebrate, that she often enjoys Halloween with friends over supper, embracing the holiday as an opportunity to let imagination run wild with gory-looking food and special effects.

While the Halloween fun comes to an end, Prince George has something scarier on the horizon.

In early November, Prince William will travel to Singapore for the third awards ceremony of his Earthshot Prize.

However, it was announced that Kate will remain in the UK to support their eldest son during a busy time.

Prince George has school exams that week, and his mother will be there in Windsor to provide her assistance.

Although the Prince and Princess of Wales did not share a photo of their children heading back to Lambrook School this year, as they prefer to keep schooling private and pressure-free, the trio began their studies in September and are now enjoying a break after five weeks of hard work.

In the past, the royal family has revealed some of the activities enjoyed by Prince George, , and Prince Louis, including baking, cooking, arts and crafts projects.

However, their favorite pastime seems to be spending time outdoors.

Recently, the Wales family volunteered at the Third Upton Scout Group in Slough, where Prince William taught George how to use an electric screwdriver, and Charlotte playfully kept Louis in line while they painted blocks for planters.

As Halloween approaches, it's heartening to know that even the royals embrace the festive spirit.
