Sarah Ferguson Declines to Pass Judgment on Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Focuses on Princess Diana’s Legacy
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has recently made comments about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that may surprise some.
In an interview with People Magazine, ahead of the release of her book, A Most Intriguing Lady, she declined to comment on the couple, stating that she had no judgment for them.
“I don't believe that any single person has the right to judge another person,” she said.
“I'm not in a position to make any judgments, and I have been judged all my life.
I have no judgment on the Sussexes.”
During the interview, the Duchess of York also spoke about her late friend Princess Diana and expressed how proud she believes Diana would be of her five grandchildren.
“The late Princess of Wales would be incredibly proud of her five grandchildren,” she stated.
Princess Diana would have been the grandmother to Prince Harry's two children and Prince William's three children.
It is worth noting that Prince Harry has previously been vocal about the scandal surrounding his uncle, Prince Andrew.
In a documentary series released last December, Harry referred to the scandal as shameful.
He also expressed concerns about the family's security, particularly after his and Meghan's relocation to California.
Despite the scandal involving Prince Andrew, Harry noted that no one had even suggested removing his security.
“Not in the wake of my uncle Andrew,” he said.
“People have had plenty of reasons to complain about us.
s** crimes weren't one of them.”
These comments from Sarah Ferguson come at a time when Harry and Meghan have reportedly been evicted from their home in Frogmore Cottage.
They allegedly have until early summer to remove their belongings, adding to the turmoil within the royal family.
However, Sarah Ferguson has maintained a neutral stance throughout these events.
Her new book, A Most Intriguing Lady, is set to release on March 7th.
It is a historical fiction novel that delves into the life of Lady Margaret Montague Douglas Scott.
With all the buzz surrounding the royal family, it is refreshing to see someone like Sarah Ferguson taking a step back and refraining from passing judgment.
As she emphasized in her interview with People, “I don't believe that any single person has the right to judge another person.”
Perhaps this is a lesson we can all learn from, especially in today's world where it seems that everyone is quick to judge and condemn others.
Let us take a cue from Sarah Ferguson and strive to be more understanding and compassionate towards one another.
