George Clooney Sells Late Como Villa and Bans Sussexes from New French Property

George Clooney, the renowned Hollywood actor, is bidding farewell to his cherished late Como home after being its proud owner for 21 years.

According to Italian magazine Oggi, the 62-year-old actor has enlisted the services of Milan-based agency Yasmin Basel to sell the villa.

While there were previous reports that falsely claimed the sale, real estate agent Yasmin Basel has confirmed that this time it is indeed true, as reported by People.

An Italian source also verified the news, stating that the sale is legitimate.

The lakeside property is estimated to be valued at a staggering $100 million.

Late Como holds significant sentimental value for George Clooney, as it was where he first met his wife, Amal Clooney, in 2013.

The couple crossed paths during a dinner party with mutual friends.

However, a source has revealed that George had no choice but to sell the property due to privacy concerns.

The once-safe and private home became compromised after and visited.

In 2018, the royal couple spent a relaxing weekend in Italy with the Clooneys, following their wedding.

Prior to their visit, other notable guests, such as Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, had also enjoyed the hospitality of the late Como Villa.

Rumors began circulating that had been snooping around the house, even going as far as entering Amal Clooney's room.

It remains unknown who leaked information about the secrets within the house, but since then, stalkers have emerged.

The source suggests that Meghan cannot be ruled out as a suspect, especially considering previous rumors of money being stolen from Amal.

As a result, the Clooneys have purchased a new property in France and have chosen not to extend an invitation to Meghan and Harry.

George Clooney expressed his dissatisfaction with his personal activities being leaked and expressed a desire for increased privacy.

Known for his impeccable taste in selecting secluded and stylish properties, Clooney's new hideaway is Domaine du Cannondale in France.

This magnificent 18th-century country home has been meticulously renovated and boasts 170 hectares of land, including vineyards and olive groves.

Mayor Didier Bremond shared a snapshot of the property on his Facebook page on July 22, 2021, expressing his delight in welcoming the Clooneys to his town.

Notably, the new property is believed to be in close proximity to Brad Pitt's Chateau Miraval in Corennes, making the two Hollywood stars neighbors while in Europe.

Images of the stunning historic house reveal its picturesque exterior adorned with scenic vines and charming blue shutters on its large windows.

Additionally, there is ample parking available for guests who wish to bask in the sunshine with the Clooneys.

However, guests are strictly prohibited from posting any photos without the host's permission.

It is understandable, then, that Meghan Markle and were not included in the invitation list, as complying with such a rule may prove challenging for the Duchess of Sussex.

The mansion is further enhanced by beautifully landscaped gardens, a smaller house for a caretaker, and a private olive grove.

Inside, the home offers spacious rooms for relaxation, including a large sitting area with a built-in bookcase and multiple sofas, as well as several bedrooms and a generously sized kitchen.

The Clooneys will have ample space to entertain their guests while enjoying the breathtaking views, with numerous outdoor seating areas scattered throughout the property.
