4 Emotional King Charles Breaks Tradition at Balmoral

King Charles and Queen Camilla of the British Royal Family are set to embark on their first summer vacation without the late Queen Elizabeth II.

This decision means that Balmoral will be without a resident monarch for the first time since the 19th century.

Grant Harold, a former royal butler, expects the King to divide his time between Balmoral and his own home during this emotional visit.

Harold believes that Charles, like anyone who has experienced a similar situation, will put on a brave face and carry on.

The King has a close relationship with the staff at Balmoral, and their absence will be deeply felt.

This summer getaway also marks a significant change for the Royal Family, as it will be the first without Queen Elizabeth.

Last year, when news broke that the Queen was under medical supervision, Charles and Camilla stood by her side.

Now, they face the challenge of navigating this new chapter without her guidance.

Rebecca Engish, editor at the Daily Mail, revealed that the King has poured his heart and soul into making Birchall a true home for himself and Queen Camilla.

While they may not be staying at Balmoral, it is understood that Charles and Camilla still utilize the castle for state visits.

They are also expected to host other members of the Royal Family who will join them during their stay.

However, one notable absence from the gathering will be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan.

Despite receiving an open invitation, the couple has declined to join the family at Balmoral.

This will mark the third consecutive year that they have chosen not to visit the castle since 2018.
